Shape your future and the
future of our city when you
complete the 2020 Census.

EVERYONE who lives in our
city must be counted!

Why is the 2020 Census important to Easton?

  • To have the right number of leaders in Washington D.C. working for our needs.

  • To get the necessary funding for programs the most vulnerable need. Such as:

    • Health Care

    • Transportation

    • Education

    • Housing

    • Construction

  • To help companies know where to create jobs.

Who Counts?

All people living in your home on April 1, 2020. That includes children, seniors, teenagers and adults.

Is it Safe?

Yes! All collected information is confidential and it is a felony to break that trust.  The U.S. Census Bureau cannot release any identifiable information about you, your home, or your business, even to law enforcement agencies.

How and when do I do it?

You can do it online, by mail or by phone. Look for an invitation to take the Census to arrive in your mailbox in mid-March. You can participate as soon as you receive it.

Be on the lookout for fraud

Watch out for scams by phone, mail, email, and on the web. The U.S. Census will never ask you for your Social Security number, a credit card number, or money or donations.

What types of questions are asked?

  • The names, ages, and dates of birth for people living in your home

  • The race and origin of each person in your home

  • How each person living in your home is related to you

  • What type of home it is – apartment, house or mobile home
